Salvia Officinalis also known as Common Sage or Garden Sage perennial shrub that is a member of the Lamiaceae or mint family. Its furry grayish-green leaves contain a multitude of highly medicinal and therapeutic compounds such as terpenes, flavonoids, and antioxidants. Herbs in the mint family, like sage and rosemary, include antioxidants like carnosic and rosmarinic acids that have anti-cancer properties as well as memory boosting abilities.
